Until now, lots of fighters threw something that looked suspiciously like everyone else’s something. Not any more! Every fighter now has an attack with its own look, its own blast and its own splat when it lands.
What you will see
- Paper reviews thrown flat, a tongue-lash, buffer-disc frisbees, coffee beans, camera lenses, parcels and rubber stamps.
- Crayon Eater’s rainbow barf, a jet of half-digested crayon in every colour at once.
- Two melee swings: knuckles that drag dust across the floor, and a clipboard that trails loose policy pages.
- Mouth Breather’s damp, brown-green breath.
- Helmet Head’s bucket of chocolate. Well, he says it’s chocolate. It’s stinky dirt.
Upgrades show
An attack changes its look as your fighter levels up, at power levels 2, 4 and 7. Every step has a name. Knuckle Dragger goes from Duct-Taped Fists to Stapler Knuckledusters to Fire-Extinguisher Gauntlets. Policy Enforcer goes from a Laminated Clipboard to a Hole-Punch Gauntlet to a Rubber-Stamp Hammer. Crayon Eater ends up with Neon Glitter Wax. The higher you go, the bigger the show-off factor.
Looks, not power
These looks are just for show. They don’t make you hit harder, so fights stay fair, and every fighter’s twin gets something just as flashy. When you play against other people online, everyone uses the starting look, so you always know exactly what’s coming at you.
